Medforall
Medforall is a healthcare technology company dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with complex medical needs through advanced remote monitoring solutions. I worked with Medforall to conduct generative research, design key app screens and flows, and complete usability testing prior to development.

In order to continue serving customers in an industry that needs it most, Medforall needed to find a way to scale operations for their RPM business, leveraging a new customer facing app to put the power in the hands of their customers.
Deciding to build a product for their customers felt like a no brainer to the Medforall team, but what they didn’t know was what customers needed out of the digital experience, or what key workflows they would need to prioritize first. Our team sat down with Medforall’s customers to facilitate interviews aimed at uncovering new insights about customer needs, pain points, and opportunities. We then leveraged that information to design 3 key workflows that would serve as the MVP for the new Medforall product.
A core feature of the digital experience allows customers to view prior events that Medforall has flagged for review, and help train the platform to understand what cues from their loved ones were critical.
The needs of a patient who requires remote patient monitoring can be nuanced and vary from patient to patient. Symptoms and triggers can display in different ways for different people. This is part of why RPM services have struggled to automate over time. With Medforall’s new app, we combined live human monitoring with retroactive AI data training to allow technology to aid in the RPM process.
Customers needed the peace of mind that Medforall could provide through new session summaries within the app.
We heard from customers that even though they knew their loved one was being monitored through the night, there was no way to feel informed of what types of activity happened while they were sleeping. We introduced the concept of session summaries, a tool that combines notes from the human monitor, video footage, and Medforall’s event metadata to provide a sense of clarity for customers who needed it.
As a result of our work together, Medforall:
Built and piloted the MVP with 50 customers in early 2025.
Had the confidence going into development knowing that concepts were driven by real customer insights, and then tested for usability with actual customers.
Scaled their RPM service offering by combining their in-house RPM teams with brand new technology to serve more customers than ever before.
